Extension and compensation cables
Extension conductors: they are made out of conductors of the same nominal composition as the appropriate thermoelectric couple (they are labeled with the letter X post the label of thermoelectric couple, e.g. JX) and of conductors according to GOST (they are labeled with the particular type of conductor material).
Compensation conductors: they are made out of conductors different from a thermocouple, however, with very similar thermoelectric properties. They are labeled with the letter C post the label of a thermocouple, e.g. KC. Different alloys can be for one type of a thermocouple. These alloys differentiate by additional letters, e.g. KCA and KCB.
KX-1-1-F-V
Compensation conductor – screened, fireproof, halogen-free
Construction:
1. Conductor thermoelectric pair of the type J according to IEC 60584
+ NiCr
- Ni
2. Fireproof barrier mica tape
3. Insulation XLPE
4. Cable core cores are twisted into an element and elements are positionally stranded in a cable core
5. Screening wrapping by Al/PET foil + CuSn drain wire
6. Sheath fire retardant halogen-free polymer compound
Technical parameters:
Rated voltage: 500 V
Testing voltage between cores: 2000 V
Testing voltage between core and screening: 750 V
Insulation resistance: > 1000 MΩ.km
Surrounding temperatures (fixed placement): - 40°C up to + 90°C
Surrounding temperatures (during installation): -5°C up to +50°C
Minimum bending radius (fixed placement): 10D
Basic characteristics:
Self-extinguishing: EN 60332-1-2
Resistant to vertical spread of flame: EN 50266-2-2 category A
Fireproof: EN 60331-23
Halogen-free, low corrosion of gasses during burning: IEC 60754-2
Low smoke density during burning: IEC 61034-2
Colour marking of cores: green-white numbered pairs
Sheath colour: orange
Usage:
The cables are used in measuring circuits where is insisted on personal protection, on the protection of equipments, constructions and of materials (e.g. in refining operations, in power plants). Electrostatic screening ensures the protection against electric interference.
The cables can be placed in the environment with the explosion danger (zone 1, 2) providing compliances with the conditions of intrinsic safety according to IEC 60079-11.
The product is conformable with the direction EU 73/023/EEC for low voltage.
